A little about me

I like making
things that play.

I’m Brennon Reid: an independent developer who has spent a long time turning “what if?” into something you can try.

The long versionCuriosity, then craft.

I’ve been around games and software for a while. The names and tools have changed; the fun part has stayed the same: find the interesting problem, then make it feel good in someone’s hands.

My path has moved through Greenlight Games, game distribution with RealArcade, mobile work at UIEvolution, and other software, web, and nonprofit projects. WordJolt first took shape around 2010. I came back to it years later, kept pulling at the idea, and brought it forward as the game it is today.

This site is where I’m collecting the independent games I’m building now. Word puzzles, arcade experiments, simulations, card battles, and whatever earns its way onto the workbench next.

How I work

I build in small steps: play it, find what feels off, and keep refining. The goal is always a game with its own clear personality—not just a pile of features.

About AI and the work

I use AI tools as part of development, including for brainstorming, coding assistance, and art exploration. I direct the projects, choose what belongs, and review and revise the work before it becomes part of a game or this site. AI is one tool in the process; the creative decisions and responsibility for the finished work are mine.

Thanks for stopping by.
